My Training Schedule
Because my wife and I have staggered schedules to spend more time with our kid, time for exercise is very tight. So I have come up with a schedule to fit in training around my other responsibilities. This schedule usually results in 6-8 hours of training each week. Not a lot, but better than I was doing without a schedule. In case you are curious, here it is.
Winter Training Schedule
Monday
Strength circuits at lunch 35-40 minutes
Tuesday
Ski to work (easy) 1:15
Ski home from work w/ speed or intervals 1:15
Wednesday
Ski in the afternoon. Focus on specific strength while pulling the Chariot. 1:00
Thursday
Intervals in the evening w/ OIA group. 1:30
Friday
Ski to Work (if I am not behind in work hours for the week) 1:15
Ski home from work or run after I get home 1:00
Saturday
Overdistance Ski (3:00+)
Sunday
Easy ski with the family
Summer Training Schedule
[Tentative schedule once my Achilles heals. I assume I'll be doing mostly biking until it gets strong enough to handle running]
Monday
Bike to work (easy) 0:30
Bike home and Strength circuits 1:15 minutes
Tuesday
Bike to work (easy) 0:30
Run or Bike home from work w/ speed or intervals 1:00
Wednesday
Orienteering or Level III Hike 1:15
Thursday
Bike to work (easy) 0:30
Bike home from work 0:45
Friday
Bike to work (easy) 0:30
Bike home from work w/ speed or intervals 1:00
Saturday
Overdistance Hike or Bike or Rollerski (3:00+)
Sunday
Easy workout with family
