Getting from the beach up to the ridge was only a couple of miles, but most of it was bushwhacking through willows, followed by bushwhacking up a fairly steep and slippery slope. Plus there were some vicious little biting flies, just for good measure. Along the way, I stopped to take this photo of the Tebenkof glacier. It took us about two hours to reach the ridge.
