The ski across the Lake to Portage Glacier is only a few kilometers. The ice was safe today (April 21) but it was starting to rot and crack around the edges, so I wouldn't do this ski after this week.

That is some big ice! It is very cool to see the chunks calve off and crash down, from a safe distance of course. The zoom make it look closer than it really was.
