On our paddle back to the Lodge, explored some side coves and saw lots of water fowl. We also saw this moose, who was on shore at the time. As soon as she saw us, she panicked and starting running along the shoreline away from us. After about 100 yards she stopped, walked into the water and began swimming back towards where she came from. At this point we noticed that she was swimming back to her baby moose, which she had run away from to distract us. The baby was tiny, it couldn't have been more that a couple weeks old.
