Yes, sad to say that the most exciting ski I’ve done in months was only a few minutes from my house. Its always a great ski, but its only website-worthy because I haven’t posted anything else in six months.

On May 7, I skied a loop from Glen Alps to Williaw Lakes up and over to Lost Lake, then up to Near Point and back to Glen Alps via Prospect Heights.

May 4. After a week of warm rainly weather, the crust is back! Today I went up to Glen Alps to put in my effort in the World Spring Skiing Championships of the World. There were quite a few other people up there doing the same thing.

Glen Alps Crust Ski

 

On Sunday April 11, Scott, Taz (the dog) and I did a fantastic crust ski from Glen Alps trailhead. We skied around Avalanche Mountain, going up and over three passes along the way: Ship Pass, Indian Creek Pass, and Powerline Pass. I forgot the camera, so we don’t have any photos of the spectacular scenery. All we have is a map of our route. Sorry!
